What is Magic?

FOUR

Words without meaning are empty bodies. In order to create something truly meaningful, we need to have a solid concept of what we are trying to achieve. So, it’s important to answer the question what is Magic? It is more complex than it seems. If you don’t believe me, try. Try now. Find one, simple answer. Then see if that definition is accurate for everything that you have seen people do or describe as magic in your lifetime. If it isn’t, rework it, rethink it , try something else. Don’t worry. I can wait.

You see? Every answer seems to miss some aspect that someone thinks belongs to this area. The only way to define magic productively is to acknowledge that it is a subjective endeavor. Defining “Magic” for everyone is impossible but defining it for yourself seems more plausible. From this simple realization, an important step is taken on the path toward inding your vision. It’s the moment in which you realize that your definition will focus your energy and drive your creative process.
