Today would have been Eugene Burger’s 87th birthday. He passed almost 9 years ago. There’s hardly a day that goes by without me thinking of him – especially when reading, studying, or practicing magic.
I probably mentioned this before but one of the best vacations we took was to Chicago. Timing was perfect because Eugene was in town for the entire week. We stayed in the guest apartment in his building – the same building where Bert Allerton lived. Almost everyday we shared a meal together. It was wonderful.
I’ll never forget that week nor will I forget Eugene – a delightful human who taught me much in magic and life. I’m honored to have been his friend.
